Updated October 4th.
Welcome to The New Maskill.com!
After a long hiatus, welcome back to www.maskill.com. As you
can see the site has been redesigned and formatted for your browsing
pleasure. This project has become joint venture of Rhonda and I
to keep the family updated on all things Team Maskill. Did you
notice the new logo? I had nothing better to do with my time.
What's
new and updated you ask? I have updated my section and Rhonda's
section a little. My section includes a new picture and updated
words for you to enjoy. So, go enjoy it!
What's new with Team Maskill (June 29, 2006)
by Rhonda
It’s been awhile since we have
written an update for the family. I Guess
you know we’ve been busy. Three little
girls will do that to you. However,
they are lots of fun. Our latest fun
activity in the house is playing cards.
We play a lot of “Go Fish” and “Slap Jack.” We even have played Slap 9, Slap 10, etc… Matthew played a modified version of “Card
Sharks.” They really liked that. Emily doesn’t really sit through a game well
and Anna just puts down and takes cards at will. Can be frustrating.
We’ve been camping once this
year already (our annual camping trip with friends). We are going again in Sept.
We went last year in October and that was too cold for me. The girls love playing in the pop-up camper
and running around the campsite. That
has really made camping more efficient and fun for us.
Matthew and I will be going to
Vegas this fall. He has a convention
and I am tagging along. It will be good
to go on an adult vacation away from home. We are going adult camping too at the end of summer as well. Awesome.
We get to stay up late, sleep in, kayak, fish and just relax. Do whatever suits us at the moment. We cannot wait.
Matthew and I went to a Poison
concert on June 21 in Chicago. We went
with Chad and his girlfriend, Michele.
Once again, I’ll have to bust
out, “AWESOME!!!” Cinderella opened, but they weren’t that
good. Probably because I’ve never
really liked them. We had such a great
time. Too bad Bon Jovi cost an arm and
a leg to go see because I would be there in a heartbeat.
We are hoping to go back to
Mississippi in the fall or winter. Both
of us feel like we are called to do more work in the Gulf Coast Region. It feels so much better to use our hands to
help build or demolish instead of just writing a check. We will see how our schedules work out
though.
Our annual trip to BSU
homecoming is in Oct. We always meet
our friends, Brian and Amy, for tailgating and to watch the game. We really enjoy going back to our Alma Mater
and seeing all the changes. We are
loyal BSU fans. We even taught our
girls the fight song. I think they know
it better than most of the students. It
is so cute to hear them sing it. Now, we
even have a Ball State bathroom. We
used red, black, and white and put up pictures of the campus around the
top. I have a BSU cross-stitched logo
to up when I get if framed.
No major house projects this year. We remodeled both of our bathrooms last year
and did a bunch of painting. We are
taking time off from home improvement for 2006. We still of course have to work on landscaping, but it is all
minor things. We ripped out most of
everything last year. Well we did take
down four small evergreen trees and had one big tree in the front
professionally removed. I don’t think
we have any scrubs or trees that we want to get rid of anymore, but you never
know
